Naruto Who?!
Don't blame me for not knowing what is Naruto? I've heard seas of people talking about it and just a week ago i finally got the curiosity to search Wikipedia for it. And this is what i was enlighten with. Didn't know that this Japanese cartoon has so many credits and so many episodes plus few movies of it was produced! Must be good i thought to myself. So doing what normal people will do, download the episodes from the internet and i was surprised how fast the first season were downloading. Due to countless people seeding, must be the popularity.
I got my wife to watch it with me upon downloaded a few of it's episodes. I'll sum it short, it's a pretty intense anime that evolves around this ninja boy named Naruto. The anime is packed with emotions, power struggle and friendship. The sound effects and music were probably the highlights on all the episode i've seen so far. I know it's a good anime when my wife started shedding tears in episode 2....of a total of 250+ episodes. Alright alright...... Dust went into my eyes!

Evan Almighty Review
My wife and I just watched Evan Almighty yesterday. It’s definitely a movie that everyone should watch although some say it’s a religious film. It made me laugh especially when Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) did his white-man dance. Evan Baxter doesn’t really portray a crazy dude like Jim Carey in Bruce Almighty and that’s a good thing. I bet everyone had enough of Jim Carey by now, so this film is something fresh as compared to its predecessor. Well again Morgan Freeman played God (Black God?). I guess the producers in both the Almighty’s film didn’t want people to think it’s a white man’s film. It’s a good blend with good acting from Morgan. Go watch it!Friday, August 17, 2007
Lush Our 3 Review
Out of the blue last night my wife and I decided to catch a movie. Well, watching movie on weekdays is definitely better than the weekends, no crowd, no queue and unpack cinema. Phew! I remember once I sat next to a guy who has the ability to cause severe eye watering and choking sensation with his BO powers. (Body Odor). I had to put the popcorn right on my face to desolved the acidic attack. Thank God for popcorns.Ok, like all Rush Hour's movies, it's hilarious bro! Chris Tucker has put on some weight since the last time i saw him on RH2 but his explosive sarcasm and cheesy outburst never failed to make me laugh. And for Jackie Chan he with all those SKII he put on won't be able to stop human aging factor but he is still fit for fights and small stunts. He is just to serious in this movie, maybe menopause. Unlike those days he jumps from bridges and buildings and break a few bones and he's up walking again. As far as Hollywood is concerned, 'stunt man' is a must, risk losing or injuring an actor like him is too much of a liability.
This is a typical Jackie Chan’s movie with crazy stunts and funny fights, using props as weapons or defenses. Further illustration...... NoĆ©mie Lenoir as Genevieve in the movie as a walking "List" of names tattoo to her Bald head that contains the name of all the triad bosses' name. She turned good so all the baddies wanted her dead before the list falls into good hands. Let me stress this again, she is so hot that she looks naked.......... ummm on the head.
It's a great movie to watch when you have bad day at work. Laugh it out and you will feel better.

Review on Heroes Series
I haven't got the chance to watch any of the Heroes series on HBO. The trailer for Heroes, has been getting play on the Web and the trailer looks good so I have decided to download it on Bittorent for the past few days. I have watch the first 3 parts of it and I'm beginning to get addicted and can't wait for the rest of the 19 episodes to complete. I really wasn’t expecting much at first. It’s international. The characters are well chosen and fit into all the usual stereotypes. They even play around with the idea of what a “hero” means, and the motivations behind that. There are some links between the people, common interests or people. Presumably as the show continues, we will discover more links that will draw them together. But right now it’s beautifully directed. Rich soundtracks makes the show sound even more interesting, and like something you definitely want to check out.Friday, February 02, 2007
Night At The Museum
I had a weird dream last night that I was working in Museum Negara being chased around by Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat. It's true! but anyway "The Night At The Museum" movie was quite funny, reminded me alot of Jumanji. (the jungle board game that came alive remember?). I would have probably laughed harder if my wife's laughter can be softer than mine. HAHAHAHA, there we go. It was a good change from the usual love or action or horror movies. Go check it out.Tuesday, July 18, 2006

Memoirs of A Geisha
Well, here's a another movie review from me. It's another controversial movie which I'm about to write on.This is an absolutely wonderful and sad movie! I enjoyed watching it very much it was like a dream you didn’t want to wake up from. A love story rich with exotic Japanese culture, beautiful cinematography and the scenery was breath taking! Even though there was a controversy over the movie because they used Chinese actresses and actors instead of Japanese it turned out very well, personally i don’t understand this controversy i mean how many times Hollywood used non Japanese to act as Japanese? If the acting was good and flawless then what’s the problem? I just love Zhang Ziyi she’s an outstanding talented actress, filming the movie in English was a bit hard but she did a good job. Same goes for Ken Watanabe playing the Chairman role was just perfect for him i knew he’d do well just as he did in The Last Samurai. This was the best serious movie that should truly deserves an Oscar.
What do you think, write me your comment.

Brokenback Mountain
Ok, I know what you'll be thingking about. I am not the first to blog about it. In fact I have been avoiding it simply because others are covering it far better than I am. However I did watch the movie in my office. Blogging about this movie does not make me a gay just to clear the air before I go on. This is the first time that I am attempting to write a review and my thoughts on a movie. So bare with me.Here are my thoughts on this very controversial movie and the lessons that I’ve learned. It's been talk of the town so I hope it will be interesting for you readers.
Lesson 1: Gay men can be tough, too. Therefore, all the gay characters in this movie are cowboys (although they are technically goat herders or are those sheep?) who are tough, strong, and fighting men. They'll beat up someone who yells at them. They'll even break women's hearts. See, they are just like heterosexual men. As a matter of fact, the heterosexual men in the movie were consistently soft & wimpy. So, straight men could be bastards. LOL. I’m contradicting myself in my “All Men Are Assholes” post. Hmmmm. Lovely lesson right after the movie.
Lesson two: Love is not reserved for heterosexuals. The only ones who had "true love" in the movie were gay. All heterosexual couples were miserable. So glad I now know that being heterosexual doesn't guarantee love. (Please… I know what you are thinking now, stop it!)
I hate to be so sarcastic. But, I also don't appreciate being patronize too. Perhaps, living in KL city doesn't help because there is stereotyping message everywhere base on your appearance!
Now, I would never condone any sort of mistreatment or violence of any human being, regardless of their sexual orientation even lesbians. I love them. But, that is not what this movie is about.
This is supposed to be the "groundbreaking" love story. Well, I realized about half way through the movie why it is so groundbreaking. It does a masterful job of taking a highly sensitive and controversial subject, throwing in homosexual sex scene, shaking the ground hence breaking it. Somehow I still find it incredibly boring film!! (No really, it is, even to me.) That must be groundbreaking but maybe if I’m gay I would love this film. :P
p/s: This entry is dedicated to Ryan & Jeffrey for coming out of their closets, congrats.
